Wait What?

You’re asking ‘What in the world is this blog?’, or maybe ‘Do you mean what I think you mean?‘, or maybe ‘Why is my cat sitting on my keyboard?’. Well I can answer some of those questions. At least one of those questions that is…

My roommates and I share our groceries and cooking duties. Each of us cook something once a week, and we all share the food. This is awesome for a number of reasons. First of all, it’s significantly cheaper than each of us buying our own groceries and supplies, and elimates a lot of duplication that I’ve seen elsewhere (I’m looking at you house with 6 gallons of milk that constantly go bad). It also helps with managing kitching and fridge space, and allows us to be a little bit lazier. One of us is in charge of groceries, and he usually ends up choosing what recipies we are going to make that week.

Our recipies are (nearly) always based on a small number of food blogs - things like cooking classy, or budget bytes. These blogs are awesome and deserve all of the credit; however we will consistently modify recipies. This is for a number of reasons - sometimes we have slightly different goals/enjoy slightly different spice combos/want to change things up/don’t have everything/want more brotein/various other reasons. This blog is to share some of those modifications.

I’m not exactly sure what will happen with it, but I’ve purchased this domain for the next year; so I promise that at least this post will be up for the next year ;-P.

On a more serious note, my thought is that this blog will contain references to the originating blog, as well as detailed modififcations. I may reproduce ingredient lists, I may modify instructions, it might get crazy. No one knows. (Though where possible, I will always give credit where credit is due).
